Ever since I was a kid I loved writing.
In second grade, the moms that volunteered at my school chose one of my stories to be bound and covered as recognition. I actually still have it on my bookshelf and it's a cute little story about a kid treating strangers with kindness.
In high school I ended up having the hardest English teacher twice. At the time I dreaded the thought of having him twice, but when I look back, I am eternally grateful for what he did to make me write. You see, I personally feel that the written word is becoming of less importance with the uprising of the internet and streaming videos. I feel a majority of the younger generation don't appreciate this skill nearly as much as the older generation does.
