I talk about this constantly, but the fact of the matter is that the internet has a lot of noise. Products slammed in your face, services whispering sweet nothings in your ear and the list goes on.
The dilemma arises when you decide who to believe.
As a kid, I used to read Highlights a lot. (In fact, I remember submitting a poem to be published in the back). But I remember I always had my favorite parts of the monthly issue to skim through: jokes and Goofus and Gallant. If you're not familiar with Goofus and Gallant, this was a portion of the magazine to teach kids what a bad kid does and what a good kid SHOULD do instead. Here's an example:
If you're new to the whole network marketing concept on the internet, this is a formation period. Think of it as your life from ages 2-6…your toddler years. This is the period where whatever you hear is very likely make up a large percentage of your decisions for your business. Just as Goofus and Gallant helped me understand how to approach different situations, this blog is aimed to help you do the same.
Here are two things you may have heard when you joined this industry:
- Someone told you this business is easy, well then that's how you're going to approach it…like some magic button business that will deliver unimaginable checks tomorrow morning.
- Someone told you this business is SIMPLE but required hard work, then that saves you a lot of frustration as to why you're not getting results.
I remember watching a movie and this little boy found out that Santa wasn't real…poor little guy was traumatized. I guess it looked something like this:
Have you ever believed in something where it wasn't really true and the moment you learned it wasn't, your world came crashing down? Well if you were taught the first idea, that this business is EASY, then this blog is designed to shatter your fantasy land.
When you seek out online MLM training, it's important that your "mentor" over delivers on the value provided. There are a lot of people out there who under deliver on the value and over deliver on the affiliate link-loaded e-mails. BUY THIS, BUY THAT….yada yada yada.
A REAL mentor will show you all the information necessary to understand the basics and really get a feel of how to start formulating your marketing strategies. My aim is to continue to over deliver on what I provide on this blog and show you that I'm not here to play games, but to continue to build my business and help you do the same.
